If non=refundable, on cancellation you will receive a single FFC for the combined amount

Your corporate TA may be upset with this.
If a corporate credit card was used to purchased the original ticket, They may ask for you to payback that original purchase price which will now be in your name.
Interesting! TIL. Yes, it says under fare rules from the upfare Y - F confirmation email I got " NONREF/0VALUAFTDPT"

Just for my learning are ALL ticket changes non refundable? Is there a way to tell before completing the transaction?

Also, do all ticket changes like this result in the issuance of a new ticket number?

I called 1K last night and they (obviously) said exactly what you said. They said it would be incredibly challenging to get back the personal amount I paid for the upfare to F but that given the reason I am not taking the trip (funeral) I could try submitting a request through Refunds. I don't think I'll waste my time or theirs with that.

I appreciate the insight.
