Stayed 3 nights at the Cove for long weekend over our kids public school spring break. It’s was a last minute booking, we changed destinations due to the extended weather forecast. Kids had a blast, and the room although a bit tired had plenty of space for the four of us. Service overall at the hotel and water park is lacking but didn’t go in with a very high standard. Mostly small things, but it all kinds of adds up to a sub par rating. Wait to check-in around 4pm was 20mins, most people were not being given room keys but being told they would receive email when room is ready. Only two elevators in a bank of six working for most of the stay, typically would come back to a line of 15-20 ppl waiting. Stairs are not conveniently located near elevator bank. One day at the water park around 3pm, couldn’t find a service stand with towels. 30 min wait was being told to guests. Dinning reservations must be made 2-3 weeks in advance, very limited options for reasonable seatings for kids by the time we booked. Gym is pretty large with lots of cardio but little to no space for mat work. Free canned water at gym, nice find since none was given in room. Overall kids loved it, if you have patience for a mega resort, worth a visit. Glad to at least be getting some points out of the stay.
