Sharing for the sake of conversation, but IHG has just
announced a tie-up with Germany's NOVUM Hospitality that will add nearly 120 midscale hotels to IHG's footprint in the next four years, as well as two brand debuts on the old continent; the niu brand alone adds 45 hotels to the Holiday Inn family [some of them look really good and could almost be vocos]. Makes the Hyatt-Lindner collaboration look positively paltry by comparison; this would've been great for Hyatt to bolster JdV and introduce other brands too, but... oh well.
