Holiday Inn Silom is within walking distance of the BTS Silom Line. You will find that it is a very different vibe than Sukhumvit, but by no means isolate (I live around there and can see the building from my balcony Plenty of good food around, and less touristy. It is also close to the river.
Awesome, thanks and thanks as well to BinSabai. I see that Silom is in the business district. Should be nice.

Would appreciate additional sight seeing recommendations—things not to be missed. Again I’d hoped to include the Grand Palace / Emerald Buddha but I was totally wiped out in the heat after about 2 hours at Wat Pho.
