which is still not according to T&C for a "non resort, non casino etc" hotel.
I usually am flexible and would help the hotel out in such a situation, but I would expect some sort of compensation.

HR Huntington Beach (a resort) granted me 4pm late check-out by mistake and it was fully booked for the day we were leaving and they asked, if we could leave earlier and that the late check-out was a mistake. They offered me 5k points.
