The Staybridge at Vauxhall is a solid 3.5. Location these days is decent with a shortish walk to some sights. But untuil relatively recently the locale was notable for "Dodgy Geezers with Shooters"! And to the point if you check upcoming dates it will likely be more expensive than The IC at O2 and possibly more expensive than The Indigo at Leicester Square.

I find IHG in The UK at best low grade.

IC PL - stupidly expensive but pleasant lounge
IC O2 - as above decent business hotel. Pleasant lounge, Location on a redevelopment site
IC Edinburgh - astonishingly overr priced even for Edinburgh. Tiny rooms but pleasant lounge

Kimptons. Haven't stayed at Scottish ones for years but English ones again stupidly expensive. Manchester may be the exception price wise. But frankly based on my last stay I'd get a better room in the HIX across Oxford Road!

UK CPs are a joke. I'm staying Birmingham tomorrow which nearly completes the set. I haven't stayed at a single one that could compete with an Asian IHG hotel in the HI desiognation.
Since you're bringing up other UK IHGs, please don't leave out voco Glasgow Grand Central. I go out of my way for this one. It's not a 5-star IC, for sure, but I find it to be an extraordinary points value, and I am upgraded every time. (Helpful info on London IHGs, however.)
