AS to UA self transfer (on separate tickets) D gates to high F gates with less than 15 minutes before door closure. Last flight of the day/night. Landed on 28R meant close proximity to D gates, 3 minutes taxi, which was a life saver. I had another ticket next morning on contingency.

On a separate occasion, had another flight which got in at around 2am, by the time I got everything situated, txt msg came in for the 6am flight next day morning (in less than 3 hours).

Have had some close calls but always fun adventures at SFO.
