My company uses Concur as well for business travel and has a corporate deal with DL. It always auto assigns seats with no way to pick a seat in Concur. I then go into the DL app and change to a seat I want. For some reason it frequently seems to be a few days after booking before I can choose preferred seats for free. So I usually pick a seat as a placeholder, then change to a preferred seat as soon as it lets me.
Probably ticketing via Concur isnt instant. Same thing with my company.
