The train would've been great, but there's just a lot of logistics (Heathrow Express -> Paddington -> cab to Euston).
I found a routing via ZRH that is workable. The only downside is ZRH-EDI is on Edelweiss, so no mileage accrual on this leg
WK is a UA partner, even a preferred partner. You should earn for ZRH-EDI, even if United.dumb says otherwise.
And wrt train - a tube ride from T2 directly to King’s cross and then a train from there to EDI. You can do what you posted, but I wouldn’t.
