I noticed on Flightradar24 that multiple flights bound for Tel Aviv (TLV) have been diverted to Beirut (BEY), including several El Al flights (LY548, LY558, and LY576). Given Lebanon's policy of not allowing entry to individuals who have visited Israel or recognizing Israeli passports, I'm curious how these situations are handled on the ground. Are passengers required to stay onboard until the airspace reopens? It's also interesting that the LY pilots chose to land in Beirut rather than LCA.
