If you're talking about Hyatt in Orange County (Garden Grove, CA), the answer is no, you're SOL. I've had to check out that early in the past and had to give up my Breakfast Coupons - or when I did take them, I gift them to another FT-ers. At the very least you should ask if you can have them without any expiration dates tied to them.
Can't say about other SoCal Hyatts however.
