Knew to expect a rolling delay- so I check the incoming plane on the app. Sure enough, incoming is late, arriving at revised departure time.
But the I noticed a terminal change in the app. The text and email on the delay had the same revised time but a different gate and terminal than the app. .
Now I don’t know which to believe, soI walk next door to the flagship lounge — sure enough, a no-notice terminal and gate change.
Subsequent texts and emails for the rolling delay continued to show the original gate. Monitors and app showed the revised gate.
As an experienced traveler, I know to always check the monitors, but this is the first time I didn’t get a correct gate change notice. Does this happen often? Is it a DFW thing?
We must have been on the same flight... AA2152, 2pm departure to LAX?
We thought the same thing... great, Terminal D departure. We were camped out at The Club DFW and were receiving the notifications about the delays,
but no mention about a gate change! Thankfully one of us discovered the gate had changed. We didn't have time to swing by D-17 to see what they were saying there, but headed straight over to C. The incoming flight was just deplaning when we arrived.
From a delay perspective, I guess we were lucky with just over an hour delay. I saw the next flight to LAX (3pm) at the gate next to ours was delayed over 4 hours.
