I did. Showing a boarding pass for a very-short connection will help you out, even at passport control.
You're probably asking the wrong question, are the flights on the same ticket? If yes, of course AF will reroute.
No? AF might, unless the connection was at MCT or shorter. Even if they do as a gesture of goodwill nobody should could on it, and certainly not plan ahead for this, as this is just wasting company resource and shifting the cost on those passengers that pay their share. (I'm not saying this is what you are doing.)
