I’ve been busy eating so many delights on so many airlines I haven't updated in a bit. Thai serving a block of silken tofu in a translucent rainbow cupcake case was honestly a highlight..: but let’s get back to BA.
ex-LHR aim F for VGML all I’ve had has been the pumpkin curry dish which I have gone from liking to so bored of after what feels like years of rotation. The cake is definitely not as good as it used to be, but still one of the best vegan courses.
Coming back from Boston is always awful. I turned down almost all the food on this flight and instead opted to eat about a kilogram of potatoes before departure. Almost all the food was just salad or cold vegetables.
But… can’t go wrong with a fruit platter
The second light meal back from Boston did have rice noodles and a slice of tofu. Now there was no sauce which was odd… but it tasted Ok. Dry noodles, tofu and a packet of salt. You are looking at Boston’s finest.
I am very happy to finally have oat milk onboard though… although it is quite weak so two little jugs seems enough for the pot.
I’ve skipped breakfast for most of last year domestically so thought I’d try a couple recently. These are EXI-LHR. The first is the Heathrow dish. It’s just got far fewer mushrooms in now. I still really like this though.
For EDI-LCY I never normally get any food loaded so stopped even asking ages ago but thought I’d try this week and got this. Potato, spinach, tomato, and mushrooms. The mushrooms were super earthy. There were enoki. This was an absolute delight of mushrooms and super filling.
Outside of BA I ended up on a QR flight (BA code share so I’m justifying it here) and couldn’t get a special meal loaded. I discovered that if you’re at the front of the rear part of the A350 J cabin the small cupboard on seat in front of you is perfectly sized for Bar Burrito burritos. Plating these myself was the best meal I’d had on a flight in years.
