Also, *BA Loyal* , WHY did they book their tickets on BA? Were they in the mood for some S&M in 3rd World Traveller? They could have flown nonstop on AA (probably for the same price) with more room to stretch out, or, if not, on one of the 10+ other US/EU carriers, which will happily take them from MIA to LON with 1 convenient connection....
BA USA check-in has to be the most chaotic check-in I have ever seen within the 50 US states... it's worse than charter flights of SouthEAST airlines! The crowds are huge, the agents are rude (well, except for the ones in BOS

), the set-up is always inefficient, and there are always 3 times more counters open for the nobles while us peons wait in the big line. I have checked-in in the US for IB, LO, LH, OK, AF, SR (when it existed), etc. transatlantic flights and the experience of checking-in with BA remains unmatched!
