This is a bit of a tricky question. We are looking to book a one way AMS/BCN end of September and both are SAS Gold. Does this mean we can book the light fare and still get the Gold luggage allowance after September 1rst? We can live without seat reservation and the rest of the privileges.
i would say very low risk gambling but still gambling , due to investment of AFKL into SAS , integration with AFKL should be the first to be done and benefits should mutually apply , but as we know there is marketing and reality

AM seems to apply an exception to this one. If you buy a fare with no bag, then they interpret the rules as "no bags" because in their opinion the it is an extra bag, not a free bag. Unless on domestic flights , as far as i have seen the +1 for elite and elite plus apply regardless of initial allowance but it can be worth checking again
