LAX - LHR

The catering from LAX-LHR can only be described as disappointing.

Menu

Starter: Sweet potato soup

Teriyaki chicken with fried rice

Raspberry panna cotta

Chocolate lava cake

Waffles

Bonus picture: best meal of the entire travel day

In short, the food was disappointing and complain-worthy.

The soup deserves an F grade. Sat in 5A, I was the first to be served yet the soup was cold. It was clear that the whole batch was screwed up when my neighbour sent it back for a new one. The main was unacceptable, looking like an economy food in business plates. The chicken was chewy like rubber and had no taste of teriyaki. The sauce was in jelly form and was almost non-existent. More importantly, the portion is tiny. There were barely a few spoonfuls of rice, half a bok choi, and two slices of red pepper. I was still hungry so I asked for two desserts. They tasted decent but once again, shockingly small portions. The panna cotta is no bigger than the spoon........ If I didn't demolish an in-and-out before heading to the airport I would've gone to bed starving. Waffles for breakfast was the only redeeming factor.

In contrast to the outbound AA flight, BA's portions could not be any smaller.
