Yes, potentially.
IIRC, Amex offers will only show 100 offers at a time, so if they are not selected, it will not show more until more expire (though I'm not sure how relevancy might affect this, ie, if a new offer comes along that Amex thinks is more relevant, it might replace an offer that Amex thinks is less relevant, even if not selected). So yes, selecting offers can indeed give you more offers that you might use. Downside is if you just add all offers to your account, it can drown the ones you really want to find/use.
