Suppose you do this in J, no preexisting status:

ORD - LHR = 7840 RT miles = 11760 Q-points
+ 25% J bonus = 1960 miles
+ LONAA bonus = 42000 miles (must fly in J)
+ EUR05 bonus = 10000 miles

Do a Gold/Plat challenge and hit Gold on the outbound and Plat on the return, thus earning:
25% Gold bonus x 3920 = 980 miles
100% Plat bonus x 3920 = 3920 miles

Total miles for a J ORD-LHR RT = 66,700 miles
Cost = $3900 or so
Cost/mile = 5.8 cents/mile

Not great, but you do get Plat out of it. Any thoughts?
