Andaz Maui data point: they said the resort fee was not waived for me with an Amex FHR rate even though I'm Globalist. I said I was surprised, but they said that's the way it works - one or the other.

I said fine, I got a $100 credit, so no big deal. Then they took it off anyway.

From reading this thread, though, I'm pretty sure they were wrong here. And I did get an Hyatt EQN for the night.
