- Is the voucher in gbp and not eur because OP had BAEC as FFP on the booking? Assuming this was a MAD-PNA booking.

- As BA6501 said, I don't think the free offer is targeted/tailored, perhaps every pax in Y got the same offer

- Is the offer free change (no change fees) + no fare difference, or just no change fees? If latter then not that attractive, if former what window can one choose the replacement flights from?

- IB is a for profit business, they would be "delusion" had they highballed the initial offer

- I think IDB compensation requires a BP so can take advantage of IB's check in anytime to get a BP now, that might prevent receiving further higher offers but since you sound inflexible it's all (IDB) or nothing, so get the BP.

- What's fun at PNA? The trains (3hrs) are around 50eur on the days the IB flightt are showing 342 eur

- What does LATAM do in an nearly oversold situation?
