Iberia trying to persuade me to change a flight.

I'm not asking a question here. Just sharing it for the possible discussion and I do not see this shared over the previous two years.

But mainly I'm sharing it for the bare-faced cheek or possible delusion at play here.

About 2 weeks ago I booked a flight MAD PNA and I paid a hefty price for my lack of forward planning and inflexibility.

It cost 130€ for this segment which was more than double the cost of earlier flights. Iberia is still selling flights in economy for 342€.

They just sent me an email asking me whether I would like to change my flight FOR FREE and receive a coupon for GBP43.

£43 is less than the difference in price was when I booked it. And I get a voucher which can only be used for Iberia flights.

Actually I do have a question. Who in their right mind is accepting such an offer?
