Only noted when I got to the lot (after 25mins at the joint Alamo-National counter queue) and was ready to argue it, but then the greeter just said to get whatever I want by being an EE. Left with a fully loaded Audi A5 (tagged as GXAR) with 5k miles.
I recently have the same issue too, reserved a premium and on agreement it said reserved full size and charged midsize.
However my experience was not as good as you are.
Despite I am EE the agent refused to give me anything above a fullsize (which is also the best vehicle they have in both EA/ES, but they have alot of premium and up vehicles in reserved), I even showed them my confirmation and the app and it clearly shown premium and they won't listen at all.
Because it was a very special occasion I ended up going to hertz and paid for something nicer.
When I contacted customer service and they said in the system it said I had booked premium as well.
Still trying to figure out what's going on.
