Was this in the app? I’ve had a few situations recently where I have moved seats on ba.com, only for the old seats to re-appear in the app later, even if I’m in the new seats on the website.
Might not be related at all but the app does seem to be randomly caching old seat allocations which is an odd thing to cache.

Looking at the emails I've received, the upgrade was ticketed 4 days (March 31st) after I phoned to make the change and selected row 3. I can't remember when I last checked the seats but I was extremely busy last week so it's possible the change happened on the 31st. I'll be careful to check that the seats stick after reticketing, if I ever do this again.
