So basically a free stay. The only weird part is them asking me to cancel myself.
My question is: will I earn a qualifying night for this stay if they are paying for the stay? They are saying yes, but no points earned (which I'm fine with). I just want to confirm qualifying night will post since I'm in a middle of Globalist challenge (20 nights within 90 days) so every night is super important to reach this goal.
Since it’s points that’s the reason they want you to cancel. As long as you have it all in writing via email then you’ll get credit for the stay, assuming it’s before May 15th which you said it will be.
Worst case scenario if you have it in writing just contact Hyatt at
[email protected] providing proof of the situation and they’ll add the EQN to the stay, but should go smoothly.
You’re also getting a free stay which is amazing and with advance notice plus get to stay at an SLH.
