Just one more quick question with upgrading on UA metal. My father is a US Gold, and is flying to China next week on UA metal (he's in full-fare business, I'm pretty sure it's C class). Is there any way he can get the upgrade to F by using US miles, or is the only way to guarentee an upgrade is to pay cash?
