Thanks a lot, price will even out with seat selection costs so JAL seems like the way forward, especially with the PE upgrade bid possibility.
As for points, I only have a few JAL miles from domestic flights in Japan, zero Finnair points.
The only decent amount I have is 31K Miles and More, no idea yet if worth booking to them.

Only other flight I find tempting is a week earlier, PE with Cathay via HK at CHF1550 (with longish stop in HK on way back though) - Hmmm.
