My point being, refitting the CZ fins to the latest standard would take at least another 3-6 months.
AC has decided to do the bare minimum to get these 2 CZ fins into service (update signage, decals, re-upholstering the seats and carpets ) instead of going through a full-refit to the latest standard possibly due to
1. The CZ fins are short term (12-24 months) lease to bridge the gap between A321XLR and the additional MAX, they just don't bother.
2. AC is so short of planes this summer, they can't spare any fins for refit or maintenance especially how long it is taking to refit those fins.
3. Fins 235–242 has their C/D check due very soon, they need to be taken out of service anyway, the CZ fins are needed to cover for them.
