But like many others I bet you put *some* foreign spend on it anyway. That's all money in Amex's coffers. If people start leaving in droves they may change their plans. They seem to be changing the rules quite a lot and sometimes changing them back again (e.g. the pro rate refund) so they may just be seeing what they can get away with.
