Hi folks, as a frequent flyer with Cathay I am not satisfied with their redemption options. I am considering to exchange my credit card points to Flying Blue miles instead (e.g. rather than Asia Miles). I have enough points to transfer to ~80k Flying Blue miles. However, I have "Explorer" status and zero XP. Does this prohibit me in any way from redeeming flights with miles? I am looking to fly in J from Hong Kong to Amsterdam using miles in around 6 weeks to 2 months time from now. Can anyone confirm whether or not the redemption options with Flying Blue are such that I can expect to buy a one-way ticket solely with Flying Blue miles in this time horizon? Many thanks in advance!
