I've actually never asked -- just been offered to take home a bottle or two of the stuff my wife and I drink throughout the flight. Normally I'm pretty friendly / chatty with the crew so maybe that's it. Last time was during the Super Bowl. Was asking the FA if he can give score updates (no wifi) and he kept coming back every so often to update me. End of the flight we were gifted with bottles of wine. That's just one experience but I've had it happen multiple times.
