Just redeemed one and check with friends, VS actually charges way more.

DL only charges $6 (but no one is going to redeem with that mileage) for ONT-TPE in J.

CI charges about $32.30 on the same segment, but VS charged me 96 GBP (~$122). I wonder if they put the LHR premium fare fees on top of it...

On other routes,

TPE-PRG in J was charged $74
TPE-CTS vv in Y was charged 63.4 GBP

Whether you are charged USD or GBP depending on which center you called or chatted...
