Any updates on this? I was told the same by the agent that even if miles show up, if it is less than 72 hours I won't be able to complete a booking with my new nominee. This seems like BS though, it does not state anywhere on their website that this is the case. It only says you can not book a new nominee on a flight that departs in <72 hours.
