Sorry to revive an old thread, I’ve got a similar question about missing a flight- have never been in this situation before.

We’re midway through a multi sector itinerary and have both pulled up rather poorly today and not likely that we’ll feel fit to fly tomorrow morning. We have boarding passes for tomorrow’s flight issued last night in the USA before we felt unwell. Not sure if it’s food/gastro or something C-19 related at this stage.

The last flight is short haul and we are ok to cancel flexible hotels etc on the Europe side, but I’m guessing we should call to be removed from the flight rather than no show?

It’s on a 125- ticket and was bought through Amex travel so wasn’t sure the best party to call (BA or Amex) and if there’s potential implications either way (ie calling or not calling). It would be ideal not to be hit with extra cost or change fees, we are ok with losing the sector and not looking for a refund.

As I said first time in this situation so would appreciate any advice 🙏
