I am not a member of Royal Orchid Plus, the miles were paid to a Star Alliance partner. I am Star Alliance Gold.
As you note, the 500 mile minimum only applies when crediting the flight to TG’s Royal Orchid Plus program. On a recent flight BKK-CNX which I credited to UA Mileage Plus (V class), I earned 93 reward miles and 16 PQP.
