I just called AA using the same number we got from the email last year. They kicked me back and forth between the AAdvantage desk/SWU desk/EXP desk, and finally one agent was able to help me locate the SWU for this year using BOTH the upgrade code we received over the past few years (basically a shadow AAdvantage account that's why it remains the same, so don't share it with others) AND my AS mileage plan#. Agent told me the SWU has to be flown before Dec 31st, 2024. But I do know last year you could use it for future travel past the deadline as long as you confirm the space before Dec 31st. So YMMV.

One thing I'm sure, they haven't set up the dedicated AS SWU help desk yet, so it might take a few transfers back and forth before you get to the right person. If you weren't 75k/100k last year, then you'd have to wait for the email this year. Happy hunting!
