What might be a reasonable fare currently will depend where you are flying to/from and on which dates. Perhaps you are looking at peak season this time?
You can use the flexible dates search to see if altering your travel might help. And also have a look at a wider internet comparison site such as google flights or skyscanner (others are available) to see what other airlines are charging. What you are seeing might be the normal rate for that route on those dates now.
The taxes ex-DOH are actually quite low compared with many countries.
