This is an amazing suggestion! You get to see the spectacular space of the TWA hotel, have some seclusion, security and comfort but spend $40 rather than $400. Looking at the website it looks like both Vinny’s Panini and The Corner Store are open 24 hours.
They may be open but I doubt whether hotel security would let someone sit around the lobby for 6 hours in the middle of the night.
And the problem with all the other airport hotels is that shuttles can only drop off at the terminals, not pick up so you have to get the AirTrain to Federal Circle then wait there for a shuttle which takes quite some time.
