I was a Windows fan until about 2015.
Then I was a MacBook fan.
Then last year I got a ThinkPad X1 Carbon and put Debian (Linux) on it with the KDE Plasma desktop. This the best laptop I've ever owned, and I bought the Gen 10 when the Gen 11 was already out. It's also the best OS I've ever used (but I'm a Linux guy). The X1 Carbon is an expensive laptop, but it's well built, light (comparatively) and powerful.
Note: I do still run Windows 11 in a VM (for work). The only thing I kind of miss from the Mac, is not having iMessage on my desktop. I'd be willing to pay a monthly fee to have that on Linux.
