I can see the seat map in my Emirates booking. Basically all bassinet options are still available and I was just wondering are there any particular locations on the plane that are better than others.

I think we will go for row 45 on the one segment. Still tempted to go for the two seat config on the upper deck on the segment where this is available. Would people really think we are selfish? I have flown upper deck economy before and there were two babies- never crossed my mind that they were selfish.
I did say this was from my perspective of not having kids and assuming worst case that babies cry for the whole flight. I am pretty sure there will be a lot of others who would agree with you that its not selfish at all.

If you go with the seat you have selected you'll be off the plane first and on your way to immigration near the front of 500 people (600+ potentially on a 2 class). Of course again this might not be that important to you and to contradict myself I have seen improvements in immigration lines as of late at BKK. However, if you sit upstairs, depending on flight loads you will be held whilst business class get off whilst simultaneously everyone in economy below is also getting off the aircraft. Again this is from the perspective of someone who flies a lot and wants to be as efficient as possible, granted you may not have a care in the world how long it takes to clear from the airport.

I would suggest having a look online at some videos of the 2 class to get a perspective of the seats and what your surroundings would be.
