I used the TWA if I had to overnight at JFK for the convenience if the next flight was early, but as mentioned above, it's fairly expensive for a short stay.
I heard the Resorts World Hyatt is 10min drive and a slightly cheaper alternative, but don't gamble too much away at the attached casino/racetrack. =)
