For you or anyone who has gotten that offer: how did you handle the phone tree? did you tell it specifically that you wanted to cancel?

I called in but went directly to an agent, rather than telling the phone tree anything, and the very friendly lady seemed to have no idea what I was talking about and simply read out all the benefits of the card.

Does the cancellation option on the phone tree send you to a retention agent or just directly cancel the card?
