Weather advice - Jackson MS to Louisville KY Wednesday night

Looks like there’s a huge weather system coming through. I’m on the 7 PM out of Jackson to Atlanta, the last flight of the day Wednesday. Connecting through Atlanta to arrive in Louisville at midnight Wednesday night.

Trying to decide if I should go ahead and cancel my flights and try to drive nine hours. What would you do?

I’m a 1 million miler and Platinum Medallion, and have the first class upgrade on the first leg but upgrades hardly matter at this point.

I would be OK flying out first thing the next morning, but I have to be in Louisville by late morning.

I’m worried about whether or not there would be capacity for Delta to protect me on those flights. I suppose I could try to buy a ticket for the next day now but would it be possible to cancel that ticket after automatic check-in 24 hours prior?

Thanks for any advice and ideas.
