Some people think Delta has this all figured out and has run the numbers! Remember "New Coke"? Excite could have bought google for less than 1 Millon? Kodak patented the first digital camera but didn't bring it to market? No company has it all figured out and Delta is as capable as anyone of making mistakes and miscalculating. There were posts that there was "No Chance" Delta would lower the point requirements for the various tiers. If it gets to October and CC spending and flights among frequent flyers are down they will take action and nothing is off the table.
