Stayed in the Regent Pudong, and although a really nice hotel and swimming area, that is where it ends. I got in at 10pm and restaurant was closed and there is no bar. The hotel has no atmosphee and is dead. I sat along in the restaurant my 2nd night there with many staff hovering around. English of majorty of staff really very poor and this strained communications, I would have expected better at such a hotel. General area is ok if not a little uniteresting, a lovely park close by to walk around. I am going back to Shanghai tomorrow and have decided to stay in the Conrad so should be interesting to compare.
