Thanks for the replies guys. Hard to tell for certain what the cause was of course but, unprompted, the A&E registrar that we saw suggested that the time of onset tallied pretty closely with reheated rice.

I’ve a history of vomiting bugs, though I’ve been clear for 6 years, and so I have some anecdotal experience with this sort of thing. I don’t have a very active self limiting reflex so I tend to end up needing a antiemetic injection in the backside. (Lovely &#129396. I can say that this was a particularly violent episode - we got whizzed to the front of the queue in A&E, on a Saturday night no less, as they seemed worried about my kidney function due to lack of fluids.

While I appreciate that food temp should be checked, on a short flight of under two hours with a tired crew at the end of a long day I don’t think it’s implausible that the ball is sometimes dropped. Not to mention that if it’s hot on the outside doesn’t mean it’s hot on the inside. Only takes a little bit beneath temperature for bacteria to survive I guess.
