On our last visit in 2023 we did half of our 10night stay as a paid upgrade to the Deluxe Beach Villa with pool. Would have to hunt for pricing we paid but I have to say it was 100% worth it. An incredible villa. Huge, with a beautiful pool. My wife was obsessed with it.

We’ve done four trips to the Maldives and only once stayed in an OWV (the sunrise for the first 50hrs at Conrad in 2023) and great though they are, we enjoy access to the beach more than access direct into the sea. In our view you give up a lot in terms of space and facility when you prioritise an OWV. The deck on our OWV was also astonishingly hot. Genuinely quite hard to hang out there in the full sun.

By contrast the DBV+Pool felt like about four times the space plus had the natural regulation of the lush and very beautiful jungle. The Villa itself was the best we’ve ever stayed in though I did prefer the sense of isolation and location on the island that we got when we stayed in a Beach Villa with Pool at Park Hyatt.
