Oh, I see. So I tried a few over on ANA and got both waitlisted and non-waitlisted. I didn't end up completing the upgrade, but I did get the option to (available upgrade). I could not get any successfully on United though. So I guess take it with a grain of salt. Definitely gave me the availability and option to upgrade though.
