I’m trying to book a work trip in Y (LON-USA) with one hotel night, and upgrade to a BA holiday in J (DUB-USA-MAD) to use part pay with Avios and use the deposit feature.

Our company policy is that I can book a non-stop Y fare with my company’s credit card (and need to provide the e-ticket receipt) and can then do any changes with my personal CC.

I was first thinking of booking a UK holiday with the economy flights, and immediately change it to the ex-DUB one by paying the fare difference but I don’t think it would work because of the different currencies?

The only other options I can think of are making a flight only booking in EUR and then cancelling/turning it into a holiday, or making a flight only booking in GBP and canceling/amending it within 24 hours (but that wouldn’t be a BA holiday).
