I didn't do this intentionally, but I booked an overseas award trip with 2 tickets with $336 fees each; Amex rebated $200 of the $672 total; I then cancelled the tickets. I'll be astounded if they claw back the $200. And I obviously intended to take the trip, because if I was only trying to monetize the Amex fee rebate I'd have gotten only one ticket.
